In a similar story, celebrated Mombasa-based celebrity barber, Sam Kitiki, moved Kenyans to tears after asking for help to undergo cancer treatment.

Sam revealed that he was battling stomach cancer, stage 3, disclosing chemo sessions are very expensive.

He disclosed that a session costs KSh 34,000, and he needs almost half a million to undergo the remaining 24 chemos.

During a TikTok livestream, Sam revealed his weight had reduced from 160 kilograms to 40 kilograms. He disclosed that he needs KSh 2,800 for a shot daily.

Sam said that before he discovered he had cancer, he became pale and many confused it with skin bleaching.

During the live, the celebrity barber was able to raise some cash and urged netizens to help him get treatment. Sam is currently in Nairobi and will be going for his eighth chemo session next week.

"I need KSh 2,800 for a shot daily. If you do that math. It's almost KSh 80,000 in a month. There's another prescription that I'm supposed to get that's KSh 12,400. That goes for two weeks. It's a lot of money if you calculate this. So any amount you send me will be appreciated. Thank you so much," he said.
