Elden Ring Nightreign DLC Release Date Confirmed by FromSoftware and Sony

The gaming world is abuzz with significant upcoming content, confirmed through both a major publisher's financial disclosures and a recent industry showcase. Kadokawa, the parent company of FromSoftware, the acclaimed developer behind the upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign, has officially verified that new downloadable content (DLC) for the game is in development. This highly anticipated expansion is projected to launch by the conclusion of Kadokawa's fiscal year in March 2026, as detailed in their latest financial report presented to investors. This news promises an exciting addition for fans eager to dive back into the game's universe, particularly those who enjoy multiplayer experiences with friends.

Adding to the excitement, Sony’s recent State of Play Japan stream also featured an official reveal for Elden Ring Nightreign’s upcoming DLC. While the stream predominantly highlighted additional content for existing titles, it also included several notable announcements for new games and remakes that captured considerable attention from the gaming community.

The State of Play event kicked off with a fresh trailer for Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, a forthcoming remake of the classic 2000 Square Enix RPG. This highly anticipated title is set to release on February 5. Horror game enthusiasts have a wealth of new content to anticipate with the unveiling of two titles within the BrokenLore series. BrokenLore: Unfollow, a first-person horror game that delves into the negative impacts of social media on mental health, is scheduled to launch on January 16, 2026. Furthermore, a trailer was shown for BrokenLore Ascend, the next installment in the series, which depicts a pair of climbers attempting to capture photos for social media before an encounter with a yokai.

Another significant revelation for horror fans was an in-depth trailer for the Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly remake. This re-envisioned classic will immerse players in a chilling narrative where central twin characters must confront creepy rituals and supernatural entities, which can only be combated and stopped using a camera. The game’s battle system has undergone a comprehensive revamp, now incorporating advanced camera functionalities such as applying filters and zoom options, alongside significantly more realistic graphics. Crucially, its release date was confirmed for March 12, 2026.

For those who relish action-packed combat, Dynasty Warriors Origins is slated to receive new DLC titled "Vision of Four Heroes," which will become available on January 22. Racing aficionados are also in for an upgrade, as Gran Turismo 7 is introducing the Power Pack DLC on December 4. This add-on promises to enhance the racing experience by introducing a new game mode focused on delivering more "realistic" races. These collective announcements guarantee a robust pipeline of diverse gaming content for players in the upcoming months and into the next year.
