Duncan Minto Named Interim CEO of Renault Group Amid Executive Transition, ET Auto

The Board of Directors of Renault Group has appointed Duncan Minto as the interim Chief Executive Officer of Renault S.A., effective July 15, 2025. Minto, who currently serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Renault Group, will assume the interim role until a permanent CEO is named.
During this transitional phase, Jean-Dominique Senard will serve as Chairman of Renault s.a.s., the Group’s operating company, and will work closely with Minto to ensure seamless day-to-day management.
The appointment comes as part of an ongoing executive leadership transition, with the Governance and Remuneration Committee overseeing the search for a new CEO. Renault Group has confirmed that the selection process is well underway.
A veteran at Renault, Minto brings nearly three decades of experience and deep financial expertise. Since joining the Group in 1997 in the UK, he has held key finance roles across multiple regions, including Portugal, Ireland, and the Asia-Pacific. He was appointed CFO of Dacia in 2022 and later took charge of Alpine’s financial operations in 2023. Most recently, in March 2025, he was named CFO of Renault Group and joined its Leadership Team.
Minto’s interim leadership comes just weeks ahead of Renault Group’s half-yearly financial results, scheduled to be announced on July 31.
Born in 1975, Minto is a graduate of the University of St Andrews in Scotland. His experience in investor relations, regional finance leadership, and brand-level financial strategy is expected to provide stability and continuity during this interim period.
