Duck Dynasty is back to continue its reality TV reign. The 2010s series that captivated America is returning with a new iteration, Duck Dynasty: The Revival.

The “most-watched nonfiction series in cable history” is set to return in 2025 for two seasons — 20 episodes — and will follow and son as he and his wife, , “grapple with mapping out the future of Duck Commander, watching the kids navigate marriage, children and businesses of their own, and passing down the family legacy,” according to the official press release.

“The Robertsons earned a seat in homes across the country with their unique brand of downhome practicality, southern charm and relatable humor,” Executive Vice President & Head of Programming, A&E and Lifetime, said in a statement. “Duck Dynasty played a huge part of the success of A&E for many years, and we look forward to reuniting with the Robertsons on the revival.”

Duck Dynasty: The Revival is slated to premiere this summer and will also feature Miss Kay, Uncle Si and other favorite family members from the original hit show. Duck Dynasty aired from 2012 to 2017, peaking with 11.8 million views before the Robertson family decided “to focus on other ventures in 2017.”

“Going back on A&E feels a little like going back home,” Willie, 52, and Korie, 51, noted in the press release. “We’re thankful for all who have followed along as our family has grown and expanded and can’t wait to get cameras rolling again on all our new adventures, or perhaps misadventures.”

Phil, 78, was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and was not listed among the family members who are set to take part in the revival. Phil’s sons Jase Robertson and Al Robertson revealed their father had been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s and a blood disease during the December 6, 2024, episode of their “Unashamed” podcast, saying he was “not doing well.”

“We’ve got a team of doctors, and then we have another set of doctors who are looking at all the tests, and they’re all in agreement that there’s no curing what he has,” Jase, 55, explained. “It’s causing problems with his entire body.”

Willie gave more details about dad’s condition weeks later in an interview with Fox News.

“He’s got a blood disorder, and then he’s got the mental issues that could be early [onset] Alzheimer’s … and probably some ministrokes because of his blood,” Willie told the outlet on December 17, 2024. “And so, it could be some stroke stuff happening, that has happened. So, we’re still checking on all that. But then he also has a back issue, he’s fractured his back and that’s where the pain’s at. So, he’s kind of battling many different things at the same time.”

The reality TV family has rallied behind the father of four as his health deteriorates, ensuring he isn’t alone as his condition progresses.

“They want to give him the best life they possibly can under the circumstances and check in on him often and take him out for drives in the woods to reminisce about the good old days and make sure he’s getting the best care,” an insider exclusively told In Touch about his loved ones on Monday, January 20.
