was reeling after his confrontation with during part 1 of the season 7 tell-all. Opening up to the group, he shared that his autism makes certain social interactions challenging, which often leads him to engage in “masking.”
Masking is “a strategy used by some autistic people, consciously or unconsciously, to appear non-autistic in order to blend in and be more accepted in society,” according to the National Autistic Society.
“Either tell the whole truth or I tell something entirely different,” he explained.
The subject of his wedding to came up and Niles admitted that he brought up the idea of marriage to Matilda first.
“So I found out after the fact that in that culture, if you say marriage at all, it happens like immediately,’” Niles explained as Mr. Arc joined the special remotely from Ghana.
Mr. Arc immediately told the group that he felt Niles had broken his promise by not taking Matilda to the States. The Alabama native said he found a new job working with the state for the Mental Health Department and was working on raising the $4,000 he needed to bring her to the U.S.
Matilda wished Niles would come and visit her in Ghana even if it meant money would be taken from what was saved for her visa.
Host asked Adnan whether he believed Niles should save money or take the trip, to which he replied, “I swear I wish you and Matilda the best. But you have not respect me, my marriage relationship. But be nice with me, I will be nice. Your father is here. Be nice be nice. [sic]”
Adnan then asked Niles if he supported his relationship with .
“We’re not talking about you right now,” Niles clapped back before getting worked up and walking off the stage.
Mr. Arc condemned Niles’ behavior and forced him to apologize to the group once he returned to the stage.
and gave fans a relationship update. “I think we’re in a very good position,” she told the group. “We love each other and we’re stronger.”
Magda also revealed she visited Joe in U.S. and met his family and friends. Despite the major relationship milestone, she said that Joe still had yet to propose.
The scene of Joe appearing to forget his passport was played for the group. However, it’s revealed that he didn’t actually forget it; he went back to grab some “shooters” – small bottles of alcohol — before his flight. Joe explained his reasoning, saying, “On an airplane, it’s like 12 dollars.”
Magda was asked what she thought of the clip. “I know Joe drink all the time and I know like he did that [when] he visits me. I don’t know,” she said.
When the attention finally turned to and, she revealed that their romance came to a halt once she returned to the United States. “So I came back to America, and me and Sunny, we’re still, like, just struggling a little bit with, like, the situation with his dad and stuff,” she told the group. “And so, we ended up breaking up.”
Veah said she spoke with Sunny a few times since their split but she soon began seeing someone else.
Veah shared that she went on a date with a guy, but nothing more came of it. When asked who the guy was, she responded, “That’s what upset Sunny,” revealing it was the man who had looked after her dog while she was in South Africa.
She explained that she and Sunny were “100 percent broken up” at the time and have since reconciled. Veah confirmed they’ve been back together for several months, noting that the initial breakup lasted only a few weeks.
Shaun asked the couple about their plans now that they’ve reconciled.
“My visa is getting expired here in South Africa, so I’m going to fly back home to Bangladesh and Veah is coming to visit me because I’m going to stay there for a long time,” Sunny replied. He said he would stay there until he came to the States with Veah.
Tigerlily asked Sunny if he eventually wanted Veah to convert, to which he replied, “In the future yes I do.”
Veah firmly told the group that she had no plans of converting. Sunny was asked if he would consider converting for her. He responded with a firm “no,” explaining that his religion “makes me happy.” Vanja then challenged his perspective, noting that Veah’s religion brings her happiness as well, and questioning why his beliefs should hold more weight. Sunny replied, “Because I’m the man here,” though he did acknowledge that her beliefs were valid too.
Sunny also revealed that he and his father no longer have a deep relationship. He hoped that in a “month, maybe a year” his father would accept his relationship with Veah.
It was Brian Muníz and Ingrid Rezende’s turn in the hot seat. Brian confirmed they hadn’t spoken since the last time they saw each other in Brazil.
“I feel she wasn’t ready for it all,” he said of his ex, hinting at his reality of living in a wheelchair.
Brian accused Ingrid of having a boyfriend while he was in Brazil, but she explained that her response had been lost in translation.
“I had said I met someone. Perhaps I was nervous at the time. Things should have happened in a more subtle way, slowly in their own time. But I didn’t say I had a boyfriend.”
Brian’s daughter Briana appeared virtually at the reunion. “It’s a little hard for me to wrap my head around,” she said of her father’s relationship. “I feel like this might have been just like a blind date to the extreme. I don’t think it was love.”
Ingrid wondered why Brian’s past relationships haven’t lasted, including his four marriages. Briana responded with a laugh, “It’s because he’s 52. Because he’s older.”
“But wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,” Brian cut in. “It’s real easy though, fire on Brian with the questions right? But didn’t she have two kids with two baby daddies?”
During the break, Adnan immediately urged Tigerlily to grab her food and eat somewhere else. “Take your food. I’m not comfortable for you to sit with us. Cause they will keep saying shit things and opinion, bad opinion,” he said.
Adnan explained to the group he felt attacked and that everyone wanted to change him.
“You asked Niles a very simple question. You asked him about whether or not he respects your family. He couldn’t answer,” Loren told him.
Adnan then went to find Vanja and Niles, telling them it was “not nice to meet” them. Niles then got into Adnan’s face, telling him, “Do you know what people down South do to people who do that kind of stuff?”
