Justin and Hailey met for the first backstage at The Today Show after her dad, , introduced the popstar to his daughter.

During one of his many breakups from ex-girlfriend, Justin jet-setted to New York and celebrated Hailey’s birthday with her. Unsurprisingly, they quickly faced dating rumors and denied having a romantic relationship one month later.

“I’ve known him since I was so young — since I was like 13 — and we’ve just been good friends over the years,” Hailey told E! News that December.

After years of claiming to be just friends, Justin and Hailey debuted their relationship with a steamy Instagram photo.

The “Yummy” artist uploaded a picture of him and Hailey making out as they were fully embraced in each other’s arms. In the blurry snapshot, the Rhode founder donned daisy dukes and a loose crop top. Justin rocked a denim look completed with a trucker hat.

That being said, the pair never confirmed they were in a relationship, which was short lived. In August, Justin unfollowed Hailey on Instagram.

Newly single Selena and Justin found their way back to each other and started officially dating again in November 2017. It was tough for them to get back into the groove of their peak romance and they broke up for the last time in March 2018 and he moved on with Hailey.

In May, two months after Jelena became a part of Hollywood “It” couple history, Justin and Hailey reunited.

While fans didn’t see the couple’s rekindling as a serious relationship, they shocked fans when they made it the real deal.

Justin proposed to Hailey during a romantic vacation in early July and they shared the big news a few weeks later.

“God’s timing really is literally perfect. We got engaged on the seventh day of the seventh month. The number seven is the number of spiritual perfection. It’s true — GOOGLE IT! Isn’t that nuts?” the Canada native wrote in his Instagram announcement. “By the way, I didn’t plan that. Anyways, my goodness does [it] feel good to have our future secured! WERE GONNA BE BETTER AT 70, BABY, HERE WE GO!”

Justin and Hailey didn’t waste any time heading down the aisle and they said “I do” in a New York courthouse ceremony in September.

They denied getting married to the public.

Reality quickly settled in for the newlyweds and they opened up about marriage with Vogue.

“The thing is, marriage is very hard,” the model told the publication. “That is the sentence you should lead with. It’s really effing hard.”

Signs pointed to an invasion of privacy in their relationship in August when Hailey accidentally left an Instagram comment from Justin’s account.

“Meant to type that comment on my Instagram and accidentally typed it on Justin’s LOL,” she later wrote from her Instagram handle.

One year after their private nuptials, Justin and Hailey exchanged vows once again in a star-studded guest list wedding.

The pair said “I do” times two in front of family and friends including and at Montage Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina.

Justin and Hailey seemingly had a great first few years of marriage. While nothing negative happened in their relationship, the two dealt with Justin’s Lyme disease diagnosis. The Grammy winner announced his health condition in 2020 as they embraced a new normal away from the spotlight.

“You have to figure out how to deal with this s–t as it comes, you know? There’s a reason they say ‘for better or for worse.’ Like, that’s for real!” Hailey told Marie Claire, before addressing future kids. “That’s going to be a whole other season of navigating how to make that work.”

Although she was honest with her struggles, she gushed that Justin was her lover and “best friend.”

The pair both faced serious health scares after Hailey suffered a mini-stroke in March 2022 and Justin was later diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

Justin and Hailey didn’t always see eye-to-eye after more than five years of marriage. Although everything seemed to be going well between the two via social media, a source exclusively told In Touch that Hailey “wants to end it so she can be on her own again.”

“Hailey’s grown into a strong individual. As a model, she’s learned how to deal with stress, whereas Justin has been babied his whole life. Hailey sees him as an immature kid at times,” the insider revealed. ​

That same month, Hailey’s dad, Stephen, shared a cryptic post to Instagram asking for prayers for Hailey and Justin, which did not clarify why he was seeking prayers.

“Christians, please when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them,” a February 26 Instagram Reel from stated, “to have wisdom, protection and to draw close to the Lord.”

The All Things Possible Ministry founder also noted, “There are special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face.”

The Hollywood stars were claimed to have hit a rough patch after a source exclusively told In Touch that Hailey was considering pitching a separation trial from Justin.

“Hailey’s struggling. She just needs time to sort things out on her own,” the source shared. “Hailey just wants to live by herself for a while.”

Later that month, the Who’s In My Bathroom? host seemingly fired shots at Selena. Hailey shared a screenshot of ’s version of the song “Jolene” via Instagram Stories and wrote, “Whew.”

Despite the rumors that Justin and Hailey’s marriage was on the rocks, the couple proved they were just fine when they announced Hailey was pregnant with their first child on May 9, 2024. The pair shared the news via Instagram and included a sweet video clip of Hailey and Justin seemingly renewing their vows. Hailey was wearing a form-fitting lace dress and held a small bouquet of wildflowers in her hand. When the camera panned out, fans saw the beginnings of a small baby bump.

Along with the video, Hailey included shots of Justin taking photos of her with her growing belly on display.

After months of anticipation, Justin and Hailey welcomed their new baby into the world on August 23.

The “Baby” singer and new proud father posted “WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER” to Instagram along with a picture of their new child’s foot.

Hailey and Justin weathered breakup speculation yet again, and the new mom took time to address the hearsay via a TikTok video in which social media user eyegotthyme repeatedly told viewers, “You’re not well, and it’s OK.”

Over the video, Hailey fired back, “Me to all of you on the internet,” adding a heart hands emoji.

The rumor mill had gone into overdrive after TikTok user leilove77 shared a screenshot from Justin’s recent Instagram Stories in which the crooner posed for pics and added the song “B.E.D.” by , specifically using the lyrics about seeking a hookup rather than a relationship.

Hailey reportedly had posted her own cryptic post with a screenshot of fiery lyrics from SZA and Kendrick Lamar’s song “30 for 30” prior to setting the record straight.

Justin later stirred up family feud rumors when he unfollowed his wife’s dad, Stephen, on Instagram.

The chart-topping artist’s unfollow came months after Stephen seemingly hinted at trouble in Hailey and Justin’s marriage in February 2024. At the time, Stephen asked for “prayers” for the couple.

Not long after the unfollowing drama involving his father-in-law, eagle-eyed fans noticed on January 20 that Justin’s Instagram account unfollowed Hailey on the social media platform. The pop star broke his silence to clarify that he wasn’t the one to hit the unfollow button — and again followed Hailey’s account.

“Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife,” he wrote in an Instagram Story on January 21. “S–t is getting suss out here.”
