The Weeknd is in the midst of a moment in his career that is both rewarding and disappointing. While his music continues to perform well on the charts, a movie he invested heavily in — and which hoped would become a box office smash — has turned out to be a flop.

Hurry Up Tomorrow, the full-length feature film tied to his album of the same name, hasn’t resonated with moviegoers. In contrast, the album Hurry Up Tomorrow has emerged as a commercial success once again in the United Kingdom, after launching at No. 1 only a few months back.

The lead single from the project has become a hit once more in the country, aided by a high-profile feature from one of the hottest names in rap music.

"Timeless" is surging on the charts across the Atlantic. The track, originally released as a collaboration with Playboi Carti, has returned to the top 40 on the Official Singles chart — the ranking of the most consumed tunes in the country. This frame, it's back at No. 30.

At the same time, the collaboration jumps more than 25 spaces on the Official Streaming chart, landing at No. 50. It also ascends from No. 10 to No. 5 on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles roster, halving its position.

"Timeless" has been performing well since The Weeknd released it in September 2024, but this frame is different. The single climbs thanks to renewed attention around his catalog and Hurry Up Tomorrow as a whole, alongside a new remix that dropped recently. Doechii joined an updated version of "Timeless," which arrived on May 9. Sales and streams of that iteration are helping the original soar. However, due to Official Charts Company rules, Doechii does not earn official credit on the cut.

Hurry Up Tomorrow — the album, not the movie — appears on five U.K. rankings this week, returning to all but one. On the one list it didn't need to reenter, the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums list, The Weeknd’s latest effort pushes from No. 17 to No. 1, reclaiming the top spot.

At the same time, it reenters the top 10 on the Official Vinyl Albums, Official Physical Albums, and Official Albums Sales charts. The Weeknd’s most recent project, which dropped in January 2025 after months of promotion, also makes an appearance on the Official Albums chart as well at No. 25, thanks in part to promotion of the film, as well as a new physical re-release.
