The football community, comprising players, coaches, fans, and clubs, has united in paying heartfelt tribute to the 28-year-old, who tragically lost his life alongside his brother, Andre Silva.

"The club have been informed the 28-year-old has passed away following a road traffic accident in Spain along with his brother, Andre."
Jota played 37 matches under Arne Slot and scored nine goals. He scored the first goal of the Slot era and helped Liverpool clinch their 20th English title.
"What to say? What can anyone say at a time like this when the shock and the pain is so incredibly raw? I wish I had the words but I know I do not," Slot said in a statement posted on Liverpool's website.
