She added that Combs allegedly threatened them, saying “he was trying to take us to the top, and that, where he comes from, people go missing if they say things like that, like, if people talk. And then he gave us flowers.” During further testimony on May 19, Richard emphasized that she interpreted this as a direct threat to her life.

Marc Agnifilo, Combs’ lead defense attorney, vehemently denied Richard’s account. He described the testimony as prejudicial and a “drop dead lie.” Agnifilo argued that Ventura herself did not mention the alleged incident during her four days on the witness stand, suggesting that it never occurred.

During cross-examination, Richard acknowledged that she had only recalled the alleged death threat during discussions with prosecutors earlier in May. She confirmed that it had not been mentioned in any of her previous interviews with prosecutors.
