Tony Akiotu Appointed Protem Chairman of BAOSA for Abuja Region

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Baptist Academy Old Students’ Association (BAOSA) has announced the appointment of High Chief Tony Akiotu, a distinguished member of the 1977 set, as the Protem Chairman of its Abuja Region. This appointment is viewed as a pivotal move to enhance the association's activities and presence in the nation's capital.

Olumide Ajomale, President of BAOSA (NEC), expressed strong confidence in High Chief Akiotu's ability to lead the Abuja Region effectively. In a statement, Ajomale remarked, “With his distinguished background and leadership experience, we are confident that he will bring renewed energy and vitality to Abuja region.” This highlights the high expectations for Akiotu's tenure.

In his capacity as Protem Chairman, High Chief Akiotu will be responsible for spearheading efforts to revitalise the Abuja Region. High Chief Tony Akiotu is a highly respected alumnus of Baptist Academy and a seasoned leader with a proven track record. He notably served as the Group Managing Director of DAAR Communications Plc from 2010 to 2024, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and management capabilities. BAOSA is delighted that High Chief Akiotu has agreed to take on this significant role and contribute his expertise to the growth and development of the association's Abuja Region.
