The following deaths have occurred:-

The death has taken place of Joseph (Joe) Davis, June 5 2025 (peacefully, after a short illness) at hospital, late of Anniscliff House, Maghera and Drumard Drive, Coleraine, dearly beloved husband of the late Sadie and much loved father of Jim, Russell, Jacqueline, Gary and Jonathan, a dear father-in-law, devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. Service in Killowen Parish Church on Sunday at 2.00pm followed by interment in Macosquin Parish Churchyard. House strictly private. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired for Killowen Parish Church or Anniscliff House (please make cheques payable to Ivan Murdock and Sons) c/o Ivan Murdock and Sons. Deeply regretted and very sadly missed by his loving family and entire family circle.

The death has occurred of the late Kathleen Edwards (née Mullan), June 6 2025, beloved wife of the late Liam, loving mother of John, Liam, Michael, Brian, Stephen and Christine, a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of the late Bridie. Kathleen will be reposing in her son’s home, 2 Beechwood Cottages, Nixons Corner on Saturday and Sunday from 11.00am – 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Monday at 11.00am for 11.30am Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if wished to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road BT48 8JE. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

The death has taken place of Calla Hancock, June 2 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin hospital, beloved daughter of Cameron and Shannan, loving granddaughter of Floyd, Alison, Diane, Barry and David, great granddaughter of Margaret, Ena, Noel, Bobby and the late Derick and Sheree, cherished niece of Tasmin, Farrah and Lileen. Funeral service in her home 53 Cumber View, Claudy at 11.30am on Sunday, June 8 followed by burial in Ballyoan cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to The Maternity unit Altnagelvin hospital c/o Adair and Neely Funeral Directors 12 Foyle Road Derry. Family and friends welcome to the family home from 1.00pm to 4.00pm and 6.00pm to 9.00pm. A precious angel too special for this world.

The death has occurred of the late Johnny Lockhart, June 5 2025, peacefully at his home, 73 Elmgrove, beloved husband of Ann, dear and loving father of Ciarán and Seán, cherished father-in-law of Catherine (Kate) and Catherine, and loving grandfather of Meghan, Órlaith, Gráinne, Níamh, Seán, Aoibheann and Ronan. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle and his many friends. Johnny will be reposing at his home on Saturday, June 7 from 12:00noon. Family time please from 10:00pm to 12:00noon. Funeral leaving his home on Monday, June 9 at 10:00am to St. Joseph’s Church, Fincairn, Feeney for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.

Felix (Paul) McElhone, 29 Burnside Road, Portstewart (formerly Ballinascreen)

The death has occurred of the late Felix (Paul) McElhone, (Portstewart and formerly Ballinascreen), June 5 2025, peacefully in Causeway Hospital in the arms of his loving family. Beloved husband of Eimear (née O’Callaghan) and loving father of Maura (Hayden), Paul, and Orla (Nixon); their partners Seán, Róisín and Ciarán; devoted grandfather of Comhghall, Donnacha, Aoibheann and Luke; dearly loved son of the late Felix and Anna, brother of Margaret (Garbett), Olivia (Seemann), Christine (O’Connor), Charlie, Lucy (O’Loan) and the late Maurice, Donal and Peter. Family and friends are welcome to call at the family home, 29 Burnside Road, Portstewart, to pay their respects: Saturday, 3.00pm – 5.00pm and 7.00pm – 9.00pm; Sunday, 2.00pm – 5.00pm and 7.00pm – 10.00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Star of the Sea, Portstewart, on Monday at 1.00pm, followed by interment in Portstewart Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Mary McPeake (née Hannigan), 50 Carnaman Road, Lavey

The death has taken place of the late Mary McPeake (née Hannigan), June 6 2025, Lavey, Peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Much loved wife of the late John. Loving mother of Kieran, Sean and Aidan. Grandmother of Ronan, Aileen, Ava, Mila, Maeve and the late Eamonn. Daughter of the late James and Mary Jane Hannigan and sister of the late Sally, Jim, Kitty, Phyllis, Alice and Bridie. Family time from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Funeral from her home, 50 Carnaman Road, Lavey BT45 8PN on Sunday, June 8 at 11.45am for 12.30pm Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Lavey. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
