The following deaths have occurred:-

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Bernard (Bun) Cassidy, July 5 2025, (peacefully at his late residence, surrounded by his loving family) Bernard (Bun) RIP, beloved husband of Anne, much loved father of Emma (Taggart), Brianna (McGillian), Cara, Shonagh, and loving brother of Sean, Una (O’Neill), Anne (McGlinchey), Claire (Graham), Pat, Mark, Declan and the late Thomas. His remains will leave from his late residence on Tuesday, July 8 at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St John the Baptist Church, Granaghan (which can be viewed via the parish webcam), burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. NB: Family time requested each day between 10.00pm and 11.00am. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, daughters, brothers, sisters, sons in law Gerry, James and Michael, brothers and sisters in law, grandchildren: Caoimhe, Eilís, Conn, Donnacha, Cahan and all the family circle. The death has taken place of Alan Thomas Cousley, July 3 2025, (suddenly), 1 Main Street, Desertmartin, dearly loved son of the late Jack and Maimie, loving brother of Hilary, Eric, Norman, Sheila and the late Jennifer, dear brother-in-law of Alan, Ronette and James, much loved uncle of Andrew, Matthew, Jessica, Gareth, Jack, Luke and Nicole and a dear great-uncle. Family and friends welcome at the family home, 110 Magherafelt Road, Moneymore. Funeral service in First Moneymore Presbyterian Church on Monday (July 7) at 2:00pm followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. The death has occurred of TJ Cudden, July 5 2025, (peacefully at hospital surrounded by his loving family) TJ RIP, precious son of recently deceased Karen, loving fiancé of Laura, much loved brother of Clarice, Calvin and Sarah. T J’s wake and funeral arrangements have yet to be finalised, we will update them here as soon as they become available. TJ’s passing is deeply regretted by his sorrowing fiancé, brother, sisters, cousins and entire family circle. The death has taken place of the late Seamus Duffy, July 5 2025, beloved partner of Carmel, loving father of Sabrina, Darren, Stephanie, Deborah, Melissa, Jenny and the late Madonna, devoted grandfather of Kyle, Keelan, Tristan, Sophia, Reuben, Kieron and Charlene, much loved son of Mattie and the late Eugene and dear brother of Patrick, Bernadette, Phonsie, John, Eilish, Caroline, Edward and David. His remains will be reposing in his daughter Sabrina’s home, 83 Gortnessey Meadows, Lettershandoney. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 9.50am for 10.30am Requiem Mass in Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Loving wife of Albert, devoted mother of Elaine, mother-in-law of Gordon, much loved granny of Victoria and Kyle and sister of Nan, Yvonne, Roy, Sydney, George, Norman and the late Harry, John, Irwin and Dennis. The death has taken place of Martin Nash, July 6 2025, died peacefully at his home, 61 Lislane Drive, beloved husband of the late Angela, cherished partner of Carmel, loving father of Helena, Fearghal and step-father of Cailin, devoted grandfather to Shanell, Kenzie, Jacob, Riley, Caleb and Anna, dear and loving son of the late Lawrence and Lily, dearly loved brother of Mary, Paddy, Alex, Eileen, Anne and the late Jean, Eddie, Elezene, Margo, Bridie and John and an adored uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Martin will be reposing at his home. Family time please from 10:00pm to 11:00am. Funeral leaving his home on Tuesday, July 8 at 9:20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Teresa O’Loughlin (née McFalone), 22 Mullaghboy Crescent, Magherafelt

The death has occurred of Teresa O’Loughlin (née McFalone) (Magherafelt), July 5 2025, beloved wife of the late Patsy and loving mother of Patsy, Stephen and Ciaran, daughter of the late Cassie and Frank McFalone and dear sister of the late Johnny, Maureen Logue, Anne and Frankie McFalone. Funeral from her home, 22 Mullaghboy Crescent on Tuesday, July 8 at 1.30pm for 2.00pm Requiem Mass in Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, interment afterwards in cemetery at Church of St John Milltown. Margaret Bella Porter (née Hamilton), 3 Rock Villas, Knockloughrim

The death has taken place of Margaret Bella Porter (née Hamilton), July 5 2025, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, (in her 92nd year), dearly beloved Wife of the late Robert, 3 Rock Villas, Knockloughrim, devoted Mother of Heather and Aubrey, a dear Mother-in-law of Ross, much-adored Granny of Jenny (Andrew), Andrew and Catherine, Great-Granny of Alfie and dearest Sister of the late Anna and Tillie. All welcome at the Family home on Monday (July 7) from 1:00pm - 8:30pm. Funeral will take place from her home on Tuesday, July 8 at 1:30pm, to Termoneeny Parish Church for service at 2:00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. John George Strickland, 25 Rossdowney Road, Waterside, Derry

The death has taken place of the late John George Strickland, July 5 2025, peacefully at his home, 25 Rossdowney Road, Waterside, dearly loved partner of Hazel Philson, devoted Dad of Zara, Chloe and the late Donna and a much loved Stepdad to Graeme and Lisa Philson; a cherished Grandad to all his grandchildren and a loving and precious brother to Margaret Keys, Barbara Mitchell and the late Freddy. House private please. John's cortège will leave his home on Wednesday, July 9 at 12.30pm for a thanksgiving service at 1.00pm at St. Augustine's Church, Palace Street followed by burial in the City Cemetery. John will be missed beyond words by his entire family circle and his many friends.
