Delhi HC Restrains Kuku FM Due to Copyright Complaint

The Delhi High Court has issued a restraint order against Kuku FM, preventing the release of new episodes for five of its series. This action follows a copyright complaint filed by rival audio content platform Pocket FM against Kuku FM's parent company, Mebigo Labs. The lawsuit alleges repeated instances of infringement of Pocket FM's intellectual properties.

Pocket FM is seeking approximately $10 million in damages from Mebigo Labs. The dispute highlights the competitive landscape between the two cross-town rivals, both of whom provide audio content, including a variety of audio stories and original shows, to their respective user bases. The legal challenge emerged on July 10, 2025, underscoring the increasing focus on intellectual property protection within the digital audio entertainment sector.
