Delhi Election Results 2025: Manish Sisodia confident of AAP's victory, says party has 'a lot mo
With counting underway for all 70 seats, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia, contesting from Jangpura, expressed confidence in his party's victory on Saturday, while emphasising the need for continued efforts to improve Delhi.
The vote counting process began at 8 am.
Speaking about the election results, Sisodia acknowledged the anticipation surrounding the outcome. "We are confident that the (AAP) government will be formed. We have to do a lot more work for Delhi and the education of the childrens," Sisodia told ANI.
Addressing reporters, he added, "Everyone has anxiety on result day. We are human too, but we have this faith that we are going to form the government as we have worked under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal."
Sisodia asserted that AAP would secure a "huge majority," crediting the party’s governance style for its electoral appeal.
"People have voted for the politics of honesty and work. We are going to form a government with a huge majority. The people have given their verdict which will be declared just after a few hours," he stated
The Jangpura seat is witnessing a three-way battle between AAP’s Sisodia, Congress’ Farhad Suri, and BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah.
AAP is seeking a third consecutive term, while the BJP is hoping to return to power after over two decades. Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years, has struggled in recent elections, failing to secure a single seat in the last two assembly polls.
While AAP has dominated recent elections, the BJP is aiming to break its winning streak. The saffron party, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading its campaign, focused on issues like Yamuna water quality and corruption allegations against AAP. Meanwhile, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accused AAP of mismanaging Delhi’s infrastructure during their campaign rallies.
