Def Leppard to Immortalize Rock Legacy with Coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Legendary rock band Def Leppard is poised to receive the 2,825th star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. The momentous ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, October 9, at 11:30 a.m. PT, and will take place at 1750 N. Vine St., prominently located in front of the historic Capitol Records building. Fans worldwide will have the opportunity to witness the event, as it will be streamed live on the official Walk of Fame’s website.
The ceremony will feature notable guest speakers including rock icon Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Resnikoff, President and CEO of Universal Music Enterprises (UMe). Sirius XM radio personality Bob Buchmann will serve as the emcee for the celebration. Ana Martinez, producer for the Walk of Fame, expressed the Chamber's pride in a statement, emphasizing that Def Leppard has secured a permanent place not only in music history but now also on one of the world's most famous sidewalks.
Def Leppard boasts an illustrious career marked by significant achievements. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 on their very first nomination, with Queen’s Brian May presenting the honor. Their commercial success is highlighted by two Diamond albums in the U.S.: “Hysteria,” certified at an astounding 12 million units, and “Pyromania,” certified at 10 million units. The band has also topped the Billboard 200 chart twice with “Hysteria” and “Adrenalize,” and achieved a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with their song “Love Bites.”
The current lineup of Def Leppard consists of Joe Elliott on vocals, Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell on guitar, Rick Savage on bass, and Rick Allen on drums. The Hollywood Walk of Fame, a cultural landmark that has hosted iconic star ceremonies for decades and attracted millions of visitors since 1960, is administered by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for the City of Los Angeles.
