Davido's Epic 15-Year Music Reign Culminates in New Album 'Oriadé'!
Afrobeats icon Davido has released his sixth studio album, Oriadé, marking 15 years in music. The 13-track project, released on July 31, 2026, explores themes of destiny and legacy, featuring notable collaborations and setting the stage for an international tour.
Afrobeats musician Davido has marked a significant milestone in his career with the release of his sixth studio album, Oriadé. The album, which dropped on July 31, 2026, commemorates exactly 15 years since Davido launched his professional music journey, demonstrating his enduring ability to make each release a major event.
The album title, Oriadé, offers deep insight into Davido's current mindset. Derived from the Yoruba words “Ori,” meaning destiny, and “Adé,” meaning crown, Oriadé translates to “the crowned head.” This title reflects a strong thematic focus on purpose, identity, legacy, gratitude, faith, and brotherhood. When announcing the album in June, Davido underscored this message with a cinematic teaser captioned: “The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne.”
Oriadé is a compact and focused body of work, featuring 13 tracks, making it Davido's shortest album to date. This contrasts with his previous sprawling album, "5ive," which achieved notable success by peaking at number two on the Billboard World Albums chart in 2025.
The 13-track project boasts an impressive array of collaborations. Oriadé commences with the track “On the Road,” followed by “Amazing Grace,” a collaboration with Ghanaian star Black Sherif. Previously released singles, including “I Know Who I Be” featuring South African producers JAZZWRLD and GL Ceejay, and “Gimme Dat Ting” featuring NO11, are also part of the album. Other notable guest appearances include Mayorkun and Fola on “B4 B4,” American R&B singer Leon Thomas on “Tell Everybody,” French-Malian pop star Aya Nakamura on “Yaya,” and Llona on “My Light.” The album also includes several solo entries such as “Julie,” “Constantly,” “Already Falling,” “Zanzibar,” and “Guide.”
Announcing the tracklist on July 28, Davido proclaimed, “ORIADÉ. Musical royalty from top to bottom. The kingdom expands. Out this Friday!” Following the album's release, an international tour has been announced to support Oriadé, aiming to build upon the momentum generated by his successful "5ive Tour."
