Davido Mania Hits Rwanda: Sellout Concert Sparks Talk of Second Show!

Afrobeats superstar Davido, a Grammy-nominated artist, is reportedly considering an additional concert in Kigali, Rwanda, following the rapid sell-out of his initial show. The concert, scheduled for December 5 at BK Arena, reached full capacity barely a week before the event, indicating immense demand from fans. This development was shared by The New Times, which also noted the artist's prior announcement of adding Kigali to his '5ive' album tour.

The Kigali performance is a key part of Davido's expansive "5IVE Alive" world tour, which commemorates his fifth studio album, '5IVE'. This album was released in April 2025, setting the stage for the global tour that brings him to Rwanda. The December 5 show is set to be a star-studded affair, featuring not only Davido but also a lineup of talented Rwandan artists. These include Juno Kizigenza, Ariel Wayz, and Kid From Kigali, alongside Kitoko, who is making a highly anticipated return to perform in Kigali for the first time in over a decade since his relocation to the UK.

The overwhelming demand for tickets was evident throughout the week leading up to the concert, culminating in a complete sellout of the system by Friday, November 28. Upon being informed of the sellout, Davido took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to express his excitement and playfully hint at a potential second show. His post on November 30, 2025, simply read, "Rwanda sold out!! Day 2 ??", accompanied by a visual. This public signal from the artist has fueled speculation and anticipation among fans.

Despite Davido's expressed interest in a second show, it remains unconfirmed whether formal discussions have progressed between his management, the concert promoter, and officials at BK Arena. Sources close to the matter indicate that as of now, no definitive agreement has been reached for an additional performance. However, neither party involved has explicitly ruled out the possibility of hosting Davido for another show in Kigali, following his confirmed performance on December 5.

The "5IVE Alive" tour's stop in Kigali follows a highly successful North American leg and precedes a significant homecoming concert in Nigeria scheduled for later in the same month. Davido's 2025 tour schedule has been packed with notable performances, including a landmark appearance at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium alongside music icons 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige. He has also performed multiple sold-out shows across the U.S., often featuring rising Nigerian stars such as Victony and Morravey. Davido consistently holds a position as one of Africa's most highly decorated artists, having garnered numerous prestigious accolades including MTV Awards, BET Awards, Soul Train Awards, and The Headies, among others.
