Dasha Makes History: Second Solo Female Country Artist Joins Spotify’s Billion Streams Club

Singer-songwriter Dasha has achieved a monumental career milestone with her breakthrough hit “Austin (Boots Stop Workin’)”, which has officially surpassed one billion streams on Spotify. This accomplishment places her in the prestigious Billions Club and makes her only the second solo female country artist to ever reach this landmark, following global superstar Taylor Swift.
Expressing her astonishment, Dasha stated, “I still can’t wrap my head around this. ‘Austin’ changed my life, and now just two years after I put it out on my own … it’s officially hit a billion streams on Spotify.” She added that joining Swift, whom she considers an inspiration from day one, as the only female solo country star to achieve this feat was “completely surreal.” Dasha emphasized her desire to create music that empowers people, saying, “‘Austin’ was written in pure rage, but it somehow turned into this beautiful source of community and empowerment. I’m the luckiest girl in the world. I have the best team, the best family and friends, and now a billion streams on my first breakout song … that’s the juiciest cherry on top.”
This latest achievement is one of several significant milestones Dasha has celebrated this year. She earned an ACM Awards nomination for best new female artist and showcased her talent on the Mane Stage during the Stagecoach Festival. Over the past two years, she has also successfully headlined her world tour, Dashville USA, and performed on major televised events such as Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
“Austin (Boots Stop Workin’)” has also seen considerable chart success, rising to the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 and securing a spot in the top 10 on the Country Airplay chart. Dasha has continued to release new music, including songs like “Not at This Party,” and in October, she released her EP Anna, which features the tender track “Train.”
