MANILA, Philippines — Dagupan City in Pangasinan and 24 other areas across the country are forecast to experience “dangerous” heat index levels on Wednesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Pagasa’s updated bulletin said that Dagupan City is expected to peak at the highest heat index at 45°C. The city also recorded the highest index at 44°C on Tuesday.
Under the “danger” level, the heat index ranges from 42°C to 51°C, wherein heat cramps and heat exhaustion are possible, and continued exposure to the sun can lead to heat stroke.
