Defending champion Petrolina AEK Larnaca (OPAP BL) re-signed 25-year old American 188cm guard Taveion Hollingsworth (college: WKU) for the new season. He is the second import player in the roster, as Australian Jesse Hunt signed here earlier. Hollingsworth has played there for the last two seasons, helping them win the league title and reach the Supercup final. He was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Cypriot League Guard of the Year, voted to the All-Defensive Team, and selected to the All-Imports Team. In FIBA Europe Cup, he averaged an impressive 19.5ppg, 6.2rpg, 4.0apg, and 2.0spg during the last season.
He has played professionally in Austria (Arkadia Lions), Croatia (Dubrava), and The Basketball Tournament (Defeat Diabetes).
Hollingsworth received the Gatorade Kentucky Player of the Year award in 2017 during high school.
He graduated from WKU in 2021 and it'll be his fifth season in pro basketball.
