Former Kwara State Governor Cornelius Adebayo is dead. He was 84.
The former Minister of Communications died yesterday in an Abuja hospital after a brief illness.
The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, described Adebayo, a former National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) member, as an administrator par excellence and elder statesman.
He noted that the deceased contributed his quotas to the development of the state within his short tenure of office as Governor before the military took over power in 1983.
