Complete Big 5 Women's Hoops Schedule Announced For 2025-26 Season
Basketball season is on the horizon! The schedule for the 2025-26 Big 5 women's basketball campaign was announced on Thursday morning.
For the second consecutive year, all six of the city's NCAA Division I women's basketball programs have been split into two pods of three teams. Each team will play the others in their pod at on-campus sites in a round-robin format. From those games, the schedule will be set for a tripleheader at Villanova's Finneran Pavilion on Sunday, Dec. 7 with the first seed in each pod competing for the Big 5 championship, the second-place teams in each pod competing for third place, and the third seeds competing for fifth place.
For the 2025-26 season, one pod will feature Drexel, Penn, and Saint Joseph's while the other pod features La Salle, Temple, and Villanova.
Penn will play the first two games of Pod 1, beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 12 when it walks up 33rd Street to the Daskalakis Athletic Center to face Drexel. Then, the Quakers host Saint Joseph's on Monday, Nov. 24 at The Palestra.
Please note, ticket information for Big 5 tripleheader at Finneran Pavilion will be announced at a later date.
Saturday, Nov. 29 – Drexel at Saint Joseph's
Friday, Nov. 14 – La Salle at Temple
Saturday, Nov. 22 – Temple at Villanova
Tuesday, Nov. 25 - Villanova at La Salle
Sunday, Dec. 7 at Finneran Pavilion (Villanova), game times TBA
