Coldplay's UK Tour Takes Flight: Chris Martin's Surprise Superfan Revelation & Groundbreaking Wembley Spectacle

Coldplay is set to embark on the second UK leg of their extensive Music Of The Spheres world tour, including a ten-night residency at Wembley Stadium. The band made headlines by kicking off a record-setting stadium show tonight, powered entirely by renewable energy. This eco-friendly approach, championed by Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Bucklad, and Will Champion, includes innovative measures such as kinetic dance floors and energy-generating bikes for fans, as well as plant-based, compostable LED wristbands that are refurbished and reused. Additionally, solar energy from Coldplay’s Higher Power Farm in the west of England contributes to the grid. These efforts have led to a 59 percent reduction in CO2 emissions compared to their 2016 tour, alongside commitments to plant 10 million trees and donate ten percent of net revenue to good causes, including ocean plastic removal. The Music Of The Spheres tour, which began in March 2022, will conclude in September after 225 shows across five continents.
