CMBC 2025 Hoopsfix Pro-Am Champions

CMBC have won the 2025 Hoopsfix Pro-Am Championship after seeing out an intense and classic encounter, 68-62, over SBB in the final at Brixton Recreation Centre on Sunday.

James Claar posted 16 points in the final for a well balanced CMBC outfit and was also named the Pro-Am MVP after he averaged an efficient 14.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 62.8% field goal percentage per game in this year’s summer league.

Key contributions from Luke Busumbru and Kyle Carey, who scored 13 points and 12 points each, also played a huge factor in CMBC closing out the final and going unbeaten throughout the Pro-Am.

A terrific 24 point performance from Flynn Boardman-Raffet and 14 points and eight boards from Mergim Sokoli were not enough to get SBB over the line.

Team Ruby 2025 Hoopsfix Pro-Am Women Champions

Team Ruby claimed the title of 2025 Hoopsfix Pro-Am Women’s Champions after a strong 43-32 win over Team Diamond in the final.

2024 Hoopsfix All Star Classic MVP and Eastern Arizona College’s Yazmin Edwards took home Pro-Am MVP honours after she averaged 15.5 points per game in this year’s Summer League.

Edwards also topped the scoring in the final with 12 points while Yassin Belle-Mbaye had a near double-double after she came down with 10 boards to go along with nine points.

Chinwe Iwunze and Amanda Okodugha both bagged nine points for a Team Diamond side that fell short in the final.

Hoopspace clinched third place earlier in the afternoon with a professional 62-53 victory over TMB.

Isaac Temilola provided a solid 12 point, six rebound outing and Towson University graduate Tomiwa Sulaiman added 11 points and eight boards to give Hoopspace a solid one-two punch that proved too much for TMB to overcome.

Ilias Taiwo and Matthew Disu both tallied 14 points for TMB, who lost the rebounding battle 43-30 and end this year’s Hoopsfix Pro-Am in fourth position.

On the women’s side, Team Emerald took out third place with a 52-46 win over Team Sapphire largely thanks to a starring performance from Kourtney Treffers.

The Dutch international finished with an 18 point, six assist stat line while Gamu Nkobodo also played a key role in the victory after she picked up 10 points and nine rebounds.

WNBL D1 MVP Lindsey Cleary had a 14 point, 11 rebound double-double for Team Sapphire in the loss, and Modiegi Mokoka also put up double digits as a scorer and on the glass with 10 points and 10 boards of her own.

A big fourth quarter and collective team effort paved the way for Team Jet to secure fifth place and a resounding 70-53 triumph over Hometown Heroes.

Team Jet’s strength in this game was in their numbers as four players in the team reached double figures in scoring. Joshua Mendes and Damarni Velinor, in particular, nabbed 15 points and 14 points respectively.

Jonas Dieterich scored 15 points and Jai Pathmarajah was Hometown Heroes’ and the contest’s highest scorer as he notched up 17 points and 10 rebounds despite their side’s defeat.

A 55-46 victory over last year’s champions FunctionAll granted Basketball Nxtion seventh place in this year’s Hoopsfix Pro-Am.

Adbul Wurie produced an effective 17 point, seven rebound display while KJ Smith recorded an impactful 14 points to guide Basketball Nxtion to a nine point win.

Adrian Mututhori dropped 11 points to lead the way for FunctionAll, but they were ultimately only good enough to finish in eighth place.
