However, he simultaneously stated that not everything said about him recently is true, claiming "there are so many lies in the things that were said." I have never been perfect. but I tell you I have a new beginning since the coming of these fathers of faith into my life."

Actress Doris Ogala, who had been vocal online about the pastor, reacted to his apology. While she accepted his apology and extended her forgiveness, she expressed concern regarding his assertion that "everything was a lie." Ogala had previously initiated online discussions, "dragging him online for a while now," primarily over his alleged failure to fulfill marriage plans with her.
