CJ Martha Koome swears in IEBC Chair Erastus Ethekon and six commissioners

presided over the swearing-in of as IEBC Chairperson, alongside six new commissioners, marking the formal reconstitution of the electoral commission after more than two years of vacancy. Their appointments by President William Ruto, now ratified via legal notices, follow the High Court’s earlier clearance of legal obstacles that had delayed the process.
