City Boy Movement Leader Halimat Tejuosho Busted by EFCC in Shocking Fraud Scandal
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Tejuosho, the suspended South-West Zonal Coordinator of the City Boy Movement's women's wing. She was apprehended on September 8 over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence, following a previous declaration as wanted for alleged fraud and an ongoing investigation into appointment and contract scams. The City Boy Movement had suspended her to protect its integrity during the inquiry.
Halimat Tejuosho, the suspended South-West Zonal Coordinator of the women's wing of the City Boy Movement, has been apprehended by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The arrest is in connection with an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence. According to EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, who confirmed the development to TheCable on Saturday, Mrs. Tejuosho was taken into custody on September 8 and remains in their custody.
This arrest follows months after the EFCC had declared Tejuosho wanted in April of the same year. At that time, the commission identified the 41-year-old as a person of interest in an ongoing investigation into alleged fraud, specifically seeking information regarding her whereabouts from the public due to the false pretence allegations.
Investigations into Tejuosho's activities are not new. In June 2025, the EFCC had previously questioned her regarding complaints related to an alleged appointment and contract scam. It was alleged that she collected money from individuals with the promise of securing federal government appointments and contracts for them. The core of this investigation revolved around accusations that she utilized purported appointment letters and forged documents to convince people of her ability to facilitate government positions and lucrative contracts.
Halimat Tejuosho, who is also identified as the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, had been granted administrative bail during the continuation of that initial investigation. Subsequent to her being declared wanted by the EFCC, the City Boy Movement took administrative action, suspending her from her role as the South-West Zonal Coordinator of its women's wing. The group stated that this suspension was effective immediately, pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation. This measure was implemented to ensure the investigative process could proceed without any interference, obstruction, or undue influence, while also safeguarding the movement's image, credibility, and ethical standards.
