CIPM Ogun state visits Ogun Head of Service, strengthens partnership on HR development
The Ogun State Branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), led by its Chairman, Mrs. Oladunni Adetona, MCIPM, paid a courtesy visit to the Head of Service of Ogun State, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. The visit, held at the Head of Service’s office in Abeokuta, was part of the branch’s ongoing engagement with key stakeholders to promote excellence in human resource development within the state.
Welcoming the delegation, Mrs. Adetona expressed deep appreciation to Mr. Onasanya for his consistent support to the branch, particularly acknowledging the warm reception CIPM members have always received from his office. She commended his participation as keynote speaker at a previous branch conference and thanked him for facilitating the sponsorship of several Ogun State civil servants to attend the CIPM International Conference and Exhibition held in Abuja. She also recognized his instrumental role in helping the Institute secure land in Ogun State for its institutional development.
As part of the visit, the Branch Chairman formally invited the Head of Service to serve once again as Keynote Speaker at the upcoming 11th Annual CIPM Ogun State Branch Conference, scheduled to hold from September 2 to 4, 2025. The hybrid event will take place virtually and at the Oba’s Complex Hall, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
In his response, Mr. Onasanya expressed gratitude to the Institute for the recent Award of Excellence he received during the CIPM International Conference in Abuja. He commended the Institute’s professional certification, describing it as internationally competitive and credible. Pledging continued support for the branch, the Head of Service stated that his office is open to deeper collaboration with CIPM in the training and capacity development of civil servants across Ogun State.
Council Member of the Institute and immediate past Chairman of the Ogun State Branch, Engr. Sean Olabode Badiru, MCIPM, also lauded the Head of Service for his transformational leadership within the civil service and for his unwavering commitment to the Institute’s growth in the state.
Similarly, Dr. Peter Ogunkunle, FCIPM, commended Mr. Onasanya for his hospitality and affirmed the branch’s resolve to maintain a productive and sustainable relationship with the Office of the Head of Service.
Other members of the CIPM delegation included Mr. Olanrewaju Oke, ACIPM (General Secretary), Mr. Adewale Gbadebo, ACIPM (Ex-Officio 2), Mr. Abubakar Adeduntan (Past Branch Chairman), and Mrs. Azizah Alogba-Odusanya (Vice Chairman, Oke-Mosan Chapter of CIPM).
The visit reaffirmed CIPM Ogun State Branch’s commitment to strengthening partnerships that elevate the HR profession and enhance public service delivery in the state.
