Christmas Miracle: Michael Bublé's Holiday Classic Reclaims Billboard's No. 1!

Michael Bublé's perennial "Christmas" album has once again soared to the pinnacle of Billboard’s Top Holiday Albums chart, securing the No. 1 spot on the chart dated November 22. This marks a significant return for the 2011 release, which has now amassed an impressive total of 61 weeks atop the esteemed list, underscoring its enduring popularity and status as a holiday classic.
The latest installment of the Top Holiday Albums chart, which consistently ranks the 50 most popular seasonal albums in the U.S., also saw the highly anticipated debut of several new projects from renowned artists. These new entries included Brad Paisley’s "Snow Globe Town", Trisha Yearwood’s "Christmastime", and Herb Alpert’s "Christmas Time Is Here". The chart's rankings are meticulously determined based on multi-metric consumption, measured in equivalent album units. This comprehensive system encompasses album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each equivalent album unit signifies one album sale, or the sale of 10 individual tracks from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported on-demand official audio and video streams, or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The Top Holiday Albums chart remains an active fixture, publishing weekly through early January 2026, before its customary return to Billboard’s weekly chart menu each October for the ensuing holiday season.
Among the notable debuts, Brad Paisley’s "Snow Globe Town" made its entrance at No. 15 on the Top Holiday Albums list. This marks Paisley’s second project to chart on the tally, following his 2006 release "Brad Paisley Christmas", which previously peaked at No. 2 in January 2007. "Snow Globe Town" features a blend of eight newly-penned songs alongside beloved classic holiday favorites, such as "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On an Open Fire)" and "Jingle Bell Rock". Beyond the holiday chart, the album also achieved impressive placements, debuting at No. 15 on Top Album Sales, No. 14 on Top Current Album Sales, and No. 49 on Top Country Albums.
Trisha Yearwood’s new holiday offering, "Christmastime", bowed at No. 36 on the Top Holiday Albums chart. Her project reinterprets several classics, including "My Favorite Things", "Pure Imagination", and "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town". Additionally, "Christmastime" boasts an original track titled "Merry Christmas, Valentine," which was co-written and performed by Yearwood herself and the legendary Garth Brooks. The album also secured a No. 50 debut on the Top Current Albums chart.
Completing the trio of significant debuts on Top Holiday Albums is Herb Alpert’s "Christmas Time Is Here", which entered at No. 44. This release represents Alpert’s third holiday collection, showcasing the legendary trumpeter, composer, and record label executive’s unique interpretations of festive tunes such as "All I Want for Christmas Is You", "Santa Baby", and "Winter Wonderland". Alpert’s prior holiday successes include his 1968 "Christmas Album", which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s then-titled Christmas LP’s chart, and his 2017 set "The Christmas Wish", which peaked at No. 5 on Top Holiday Albums in 2017. "Christmas Time Is Here" further diversified its chart presence by debuting at No. 4 on Contemporary Jazz Albums and No. 18 on the overall Jazz Albums chart.
