Christmas Magic: Bing Crosby's 'Ultimate Christmas' Dominates Billboard Streaming Charts!

Bing Crosby’s “Ultimate Christmas” has achieved a significant milestone, reaching the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Streaming Albums chart for the first time. This ascent, from No. 3, occurred on the chart dated January 3, 2026, and reflects the tracking week ending on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025. This marks the late Crosby’s inaugural No. 1 on this two-year-old ranking, a remarkable feat for an artist who passed away in 1977. The album is a cherished collection of festive favorites, featuring classic Holiday 100-charting tunes such as “White Christmas” (with The Ken Darby Singers and John Scott Trotter and His Orchestra), “It’s Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “Do You Hear What I Hear?,” and “Mele Kalikimaka” (with The Andrews Sisters).
The album’s success is underscored by its impressive streaming figures. During the tracking week, Ultimate Christmas garnered 106,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units in the United States, as reported by Luminate. This equates to an astounding 140.71 million on-demand official streams of the songs from the album. This not only represents Bing Crosby’s best streaming week ever for any of his albums but also stands as the biggest streaming week ever recorded for any holiday album. Remarkably, the album surpassed its own previous record, which was set on the January 4, 2025-dated chart with 125.77 million streams, solidifying its status as a holiday streaming powerhouse.
Beyond the Top Streaming Albums chart, Ultimate Christmas has achieved success across multiple other Billboard rankings. It has climbed to No. 1 on the 34-year-old Catalog Albums chart for the first time, marking another premier for Crosby on this particular ranking. Furthermore, the album has reached a new peak of No. 2 on the overall Billboard 200 chart, surpassing its previous high of No. 3 from a year ago. Its seasonal appeal is further highlighted by its return to No. 1 on the Top Holiday Albums chart for a second non-consecutive week.
The 50-position Top Streaming Albums chart, which ranks the most-streamed albums weekly in the U.S., is compiled by Luminate. This ranking is based on streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, where one SEA unit is calculated from 3,750 ad-supported on-demand official audio and video streams or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by an album's songs. If a particular song appears on multiple albums by an artist, its SEA units are generally attributed to the album with the highest traditional album sales during that specific week. The full Jan. 3, 2026-dated charts are scheduled to be posted on Billboard’s website on December 30.
