Celebrating Two Decades of Faith: House On The Rock's 'The Experience 20' Unites Worshipers

On Friday, December 5th, 2025, as dusk settles over the bustling metropolis of Lagos, Nigeria, the iconic Tafawa Balewa Square will transform into a profound epicenter of spiritual gathering, hosting THE EXPERIENCE @20. This milestone event marks the 20th anniversary of the world's largest gospel concert, a beacon of hope, unity, and unwavering faith that has consistently drawn hundreds of thousands of worshippers to its open-air venue. Convened by Paul Adefarasin, the Metropolitan and Senior Pastor of House On The Rock Church, this year’s edition is centered around the powerful theme, “JESUS UNITED.”
For two decades, The Experience has transcended its origins to become a global phenomenon, uniting millions of believers from across Nigeria, the African continent, and indeed, the wider world. Its enduring mission is to elevate the name of Jesus and foster a deep sense of communal worship. In anticipation of the significant 2025 gathering, organizers have meticulously prioritized the safety, security, and comfort of every single attendee. This comprehensive approach involves close collaboration with the Lagos State Government, various security agencies, intelligence units, and dedicated emergency response teams, including the Red Cross and other first responders.
Rigorous security protocols have been meticulously put in place, alongside clearly controlled entry points, robust medical support facilities, and sophisticated emergency systems. These measures are designed to ensure a peaceful, safe, and impeccably managed worship environment, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in the all-night experience with complete confidence and freedom. The worship event is scheduled to commence at 7:00 p.m. and will feature an extraordinary lineup of revered worship leaders from around the globe.
The stage will be graced by an impressive array of musical talents, including international gospel artists such as Travis Greene, Chevelle Franklyn, Israel Houghton, Naomi Raine, and Chandler Moore. They will be joined by celebrated Nigerian and African worship ministers, including Onos Ariyo, Beejay Sax, Muyiwa Olarewaju, Dunsin Oyekan, Mike Aremu, Mercy Chinwo, Adeyinka Alaseyori, Sinach, Frank Edwards, Mr. M & Revelation, Moses Bliss, and Bidemi Olaoba. The esteemed Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir (LMGC) will also perform, alongside new additions to the lineup, Tolu Odukoya and Gaise Baba, making their debut appearances at the monumental concert.
More than just a concert, this 20th edition is a profound celebration of the transformative power of worship to bridge divides and unite nations, generations, and diverse communities under the singular banner of Christ. While the event consistently attracts significant global attention, drawing notable dignitaries, influential business leaders, prominent politicians, respected diplomats, and revered clergy from various backgrounds, The Experience remains steadfast in its commitment to inclusivity. It is entirely free and open to the public, underscoring its foundational mission of unity and broad accessibility.
The chosen theme, “JESUS UNITED,” serves as a poignant call to believers in the 2025 edition to rise above societal divisions, personal hardships, and collective uncertainties. It encourages them to wholeheartedly embrace a collective message of love, boundless hope, and profound reconciliation, serving as a powerful reminder that despite all individual differences, worshippers are unequivocally united in Christ. As the dawn breaks on Saturday, December 6th, the city of Lagos and indeed, audiences worldwide, will resonate with a shared, echoing declaration: “JESUS UNITED,” marking twenty years of unwavering divine faithfulness expressed through a night of profound, collective worship among believers across the globe.
