Cardi B Unleashes Star-Studded Album Tracklist, Featuring Janet Jackson & Selena Gomez

Cardi B has finally unveiled the highly anticipated tracklist for her sophomore album, "Am I the Drama?", just over 12 hours before its official release on Friday, September 19. The Bronx native took to Instagram on Thursday, September 18, to share the full list of tracks, sparking immense excitement among her global fanbase after a more than seven-year wait since her critically acclaimed debut, "Invasion of Privacy".
The album is a substantial offering, boasting a total of 23 tracks that feature a stellar lineup of collaborations. Notable guest artists include Summer Walker, who appears on two tracks, “Dead” and “Shower Tears.” Other high-profile features include Selena Gomez on “Pick It Up,” Kehlani on “Safe,” Lizzo on “What’s Goin On,” Cash Cobain on “Better Than You,” Lourdiz on “On My Back,” Janet Jackson on “Principal,” and Tyla on “Nice Guy.”
One particular feature, however, drew mixed reactions from fans: the inclusion of her 2020 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion. Many fans expressed disappointment in the Instagram comments, hoping for a brand new collaboration with Megan. Cardi B had previously addressed similar criticism in June, defending her decision on X. She explained that “WAP” and “Up” are two of her biggest songs, and fans had consistently asked her to include them on an album. She emphasized that these tracks "deserve a home" on her new project, indicating her intent to give her popular singles a formal album placement.
Beyond the album reveal, Cardi B has been actively engaged in her album rollout, which included a memorable appearance on The Tonight Show earlier this week. In her characteristic witty style, she implored the audience to support her new music, quipping, “Tell people on your show to get my album. Thank you. Tell your audience or I’m gonna be homeless,” further building anticipation for "Am I the Drama?".
Adding to the week's significant announcements, the 32-year-old artist also revealed a major personal milestone: she is pregnant with her fourth child. This will be her first child with her NFL star boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. Cardi B shared the joyful news during an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings. Expressing her excitement, she stated, “Yes, I am [pregnant]. I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. I’m excited. I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby, and me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other.” The dual announcements of her highly anticipated album and personal news mark a momentous period for the celebrated artist.
