Cannes 2025: 'Laapataa Ladies' actress Nitanshi Goel becomes youngest Indian actor to make her debut on red carpet

Apart from Alia Bhatt making her debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2025 from B-Town, the 'Laapataa Ladies' actress, Nitanshi Goel, is also set to make her first appearance at the French festival.

Well, this year has been quite busy for Nitanshi Goel, as she represented at the Oscar Awards too with her film 'Laapataa Ladies', and now she is ready to walk the red carpet at Cannes. Nitanshi was loved for her character Phool in Laapataa Ladies across the world and got significant appreciation.

With the debut at Cannes 2025, Nitanshi will become the youngest actor to make her debut at the Cannes Film Festival.

The 17-year-old actress will walk the red carpet for L'Oréal Paris, which has also been the official beauty partner for 28 years now. The actor took to her Instagram and announced the news to her fans.

The actress shared a post of an unboxing video where she revealed various cosmetic products from the beauty brand and took a cute picture of herself with her Polaroid camera.

Her Instagram post caption read, “Cannes Calling. From watching Cannes Film Festival moments on screens to living one, I will be walking my very first red carpet. It’s more than a debut; it’s a piece of my heart, a lot of dreams, and a little bit of India with me. Feeling all the emotions. Holding on to all the gratitude. Honoured to be here as a L’Oréal Paris partner."

In the video, Nitanshi mentioned that all moments leading up to this were worth it, and she is excited to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this year as a L'Oréal Paris partner.

After Bollywood bigwigs like Aishwarya Rai and Alia Bhatt, Nitanshi joins the league.

For Indian artists and actors, the 78th year of the Cannes Film Festival is going to be the big one. Starring Indian stars, writer-director Payal Kapadia, who also won the Grand Prix last year for her masterpiece, All We Imagine As Light.

While Cannes regular Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will once again walk the red carpet as L’Oréal's ambassador. It will be 23 years since Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been gracing the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.

In 2025, another major debut is Alia Bhatt, who will be making her first appearance as L'Oréal Paris global brand ambassador. Apart from Alia, Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are also set to make their debut at the red carpet for the first time as their film, Homebound, is going to be premiered at the Un Certain Regard category.

Film director Neeraj Ghaywan and producer Karan Johar are also expected to be at the festival. Sharmila Tagore, along with Simi Garewal, the veteran icons, will also be present at the world premiere of the restored version of the 1970 Satyajit Ray film, Aranyer Din Ratri.
