Cancel Your Netflix: The Biggest Free Streaming App Has 1,000+ New Titles - Tech Advisor
Streaming costs can get expensive these days, especially if you subscribe to the most premium plans. Fortunately, one free TV app has bolstered its library with over 1,000 new films and TV episodes to watch without costing you a penny.
Tubi is an ad-supported VOD platform, and you don’t need to enter any payment details to sign up – though you will have to contend with ads… but some platforms, such as Netflix, still charge for that these days.
The library has been slowly expanding since launching last July, and the company recently revealed that it’s just struck deals to license more content from studios AMC Networks, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal (NBCU), New Regency and Sony Pictures Entertainment for both titles available to stream right now, and more to come in the future.
The biggest new titles fresh to the library and available to stream right now include the 2016 reboot of Ghostbusters, sci-fi hits District 9 and Elysium, 90s slasher I Know What You Did Last Summer and movies from the Resident Evil franchise, adapted from the popular game series.
There’s also the controversial Robert Pattinson film Remember Me (you will never see the twist coming) and a classic Jason Statham flick called Redemption, where he stars as a veteran who befriends a nun (because of course he does).
Other films confirmed to land on Tubi as a result of the deal include the brilliant Baby Driver and The Da Vinci Code, but we don’t yet know exactly when they’ll drop on the service.
Tubi is available to download for free on TV platforms such as Google TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV and LG TV, as well as iOS, Android and of course on the web.
