Chemnitz/1791">NINERS Chemnitz (BBL) signed 31-year-old Canadian international 185cm point guard Kaza Kajami-Keane (college: Carleton) for the new season. He is the second import player on the roster, with Mali Amadou Sow signing earlier. Kajami-Keane returns to Chemnitz, where he previously played. He led in assists at Spartak in the Serbian KLS league, averaging 9.5ppg, 2.1rpg, and 3.4apg in 25 ABA League games last season. In the 2023-24 season, he played for Chemnitz in three different competitions, showcasing his skills on various levels. Kajami-Keane played 31 games in the German BBL, averaging 11.1ppg, 2.3rpg, 5.5apg, and 1.3spg, helping the team reach the semifinals. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Honorable Mention for his performance. Additionally, he played 13 games in the FIBA Europe Cup, contributing 11.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 5.5apg
He has also been a member of the Canadian international program for some years. Kajami-Keane has regularly played for the Canadian senior team since 2017 and previously for the University National Team in 2017.
He also represented Canada at the FIBA World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 6.5 ppg and had 1.5 rpg.
Kajami-Keane is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in France (Le Mans), Holland (Zwolle), Germany (MBC), NBA G League (Raptors 905 Mississauga), and Canada (River Lions and Blackjacks).
Kajami-Keane won the Dutch League championship title in 2019. He was selected to the Eurobasket.com Dutch League All-Imports Team in 2019.
He graduated from Carleton University in 2017 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball. Kajami-Keane played for other colleges such as Cleveland State University and Illinois State University.
