Earlier this week, it was confirmed by Elden Ring publisher Bandai Namco that A24 and director Alex Garland are officially working on a live-action movie adaptation, following a few weeks of speculation and intense rumors. Understandably, there was quite a lot of skepticism, especially over the potential of the director and how Elden Ring's plot could even be adapted into a live-action movie.

We know that Alex Garland has some pretty good stuff under his belt, having been involved with movies like Civil War and the upcoming 28 Years Later, but his involvement in video games is a bit spotty. DmC Devil May Cry and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West are the only two games that Garland has worked on in the past, and while they have their fans, they're not exactly FromSoftware level quality.

Fortunately, it seems as though Garland doesn't have to binge VaatiVidya videos too much, as it turns out, he's actually a pretty big fan of the game.
