Haliburton on making All-NBA: “Early in the year, I was trash. We didn’t have a great start to the season. My teammates did a great job of keeping me engaged.” – 11:40 PM

Kellan Olson @KellanOlson
Incredible Siakam game to keep Indiana in it and then some playmaking stretches from TJ and Haliburton sealed it. Doesn’t feel like the series is over but the Knicks gotta clean up the defensive miscues because it feels like the Pacers punish every single one. – 10:42 PM
Fred Katz @FredKatz

Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton, man. Your team is legitimately just never dead when you have either of those two. They never feel pressure. Just gonna get to their spots. – 10:32 PM
Peter Vecsey @PeterVecsey1
I think we all agree. Haliburton has not had a special game. However, he has 14 points, 11 assists and six rebounds, and only one turnover… – 10:28 PM

Pacers getting steals and now stops. 10-2 run has them in front by five. Haliburton with a dunk, then 3-pointer after starting 1 for 7. – 9:33 PM

In a game the Knicks lead by 3 at halftime

Good news for the Pacers is Siakam is locked in and has been outstanding. 21 of the Pacers’ 31pts..
Trouble is it’s only him. Haliburton hasn’t scored. Rest of team has a combined four FGs. – 8:47 PM

Steph White had to use a challenge after a foul on Sophie Cunningham, who was stationary to set a screen for CC.
It was unsuccessful. I don’t get it. It was a textbook screen. – 9:16 PM

NBA’s Last Two Minute Report on Pacers-Knicks reveals just Two mistakes:
Karl-Anthony Towns should have been called for a foul on an Aaron Nesmith shot at 1:57 of OT, and Obi Toppin was hit by Mikal Bridges should have gotten an and-1 on his dunk with 15 seconds to go. – 6:04 PM

Does Van Gundy think the Knicks will let the loss impact them in Game 2? “They’ll look at the mistakes and pick themselves (up) and get ready to go. I don’t think (Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau) has to worry about (hangover from Wednesday’s loss) at this time of year,” Van Gundy said. “Their pick and roll defense to me, early on in the game, (Karl-Anthony) Towns was really back. (Myles) Turner was just getting wide-open shots. And then they had some miscommunications on perimeter screens; small-small (screens). Are we switching or not? They had breakdowns there. And then late in the game, they were really soft on their switches and (Aaron) Nesmith was hitting threes. To me, they’ve got to clean up their pick-and-roll coverages, being up and more aggressive. And their communication’s got to be a lot better on what they’re doing. “….There was not a hard three in that stretch (of Nesmith’s six threes late in the fourth quarter). It’s still hard to make six straight threes. But it wasn’t like the shot-clock ran down and someone had to throw one in. He got great looks. Nesmith, all five of his looks were great looks. And the one (Tyrese) Haliburton got, (Mikal) Bridges gave him a lot of space on that one, too. They got really good shots. I just thought the Knicks’ defense in that stretch was very soft. And in the overtime, they had breakdowns on (Obi) Toppin’s dunk and (Andrew) Nembhard’s back cut. They just, defensively, didn’t get the job done.” -via SportsNet New York / May 23, 2025
