Buhari was a great man and epitome of honesty - Gov Sule

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has described the late former President Muhammadu Buhari as a great man and an embodiment of honesty and integrity.
In a statement personally signed by the governor and made available to journalists in Lafia on Sunday, Governor Sule expressed deep sorrow over Buhari’s death, saying the country had lost an elder statesman of exceptional character.
“It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that I receive the sad news of the passing of His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, an elder statesman and former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Sule stated.
“The late President Buhari was not just a leader; he was a symbol of honesty, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the Nigerian project.
“Throughout his life, he stood as a beacon of integrity and patriotism; never wavering in his resolve to serve the country with selflessness, honesty and courage.
“His leadership, marked by simplicity and a deep sense of duty, which endeared him to millions both at home and abroad.
“His connection with Nasarawa State was especially heartfelt — he was a friend to the people, a father figure to so many of us, and a guiding light to leaders across generations.
“As we in Nasarawa state mourn the passing of this rare patriot, we cherish that he lived with purpose, honour, and deep conviction.
“We pray earnestly that Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
“May He comfort and strengthen his beloved family, friends, associates, and indeed the entire nation in this moment of great grief.
“Nigeria has lost a statesman, but his legacy of service and truth will live on” the statement added.
