Two Nigerian Air Force (NAF) pilots reportedly survived an Alpha Jet aircraft crash near Karabonde, a community in the Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State. Subsequently, the Nigerian Air Force officially confirmed the incident, stating that its Alpha Jet pilots safely ejected following an in-flight emergency. This occurred during a post-inspection functional check flight conducted at the NAF Base, Kainji, Niger State, on a recent Saturday. Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, elaborated in a statement that shortly after take-off, the aircraft developed a critical fault, necessitating immediate action from the pilots.
