Boxing Legend Ricky Hatton: Manager's Grim Discovery and Fan Tributes

Boxing legendRicky Hatton, aged 46, was tragically found dead at his Hyde home in Greater Manchesterin the early hours of Sunday morning, sending shockwaves through the boxing world and beyond. The discovery was made by his long-term manager and close friend, Paul Speak, who became concerned after Hatton failed to appear at a boxing event on Saturday night. Paul went to Ricky's home, let himself in, and found his friend, a moment he described as 'all too much to take in'. Greater Manchester Police have stated that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
News of Hatton's passing led to an immediate outpouring of grief and tributes from fans, fellow boxers, celebrities, and public figures. Hundreds gathered outside his home, affectionately known as The Heartbreak, to lay flowers and share their respects. Emily Tunnicliff, 25, reflected the sentiment of many, stating, 'He was the heart of Hyde. He was proud of where he came from and we were proud of him. ' Boxer Tyler Dolby,23, who trains at Ricky's brother Matthew's gym, emphasized Hatton's inspirational nature, particularly for young lads, saying, 'He was an estate lad and you could never take that out of him. He was such an inspiration. He said to all the young lads here and in Britain you could all make it.'
