FilmOne Entertainment, West Africa’s largest film distribution company, has achieved a significant milestone with the opening weekend of the anime movie ‘Demon Slayer.’ The film recorded an impressive ₦82 million, establishing it as the highest-grossing anime box office opening weekend in West Africa to date.

By actively tapping into fan bases across major cities such as Lagos, Ibadan, and Benin, the company successfully redefined entertainment experiences and introduced a wider variety of content to a new generation of moviegoers. The achievement was further celebrated with a special community watch party held at Filmhouse Cinemas IMAX Lekki, which attracted a record number of fans and highlighted the expanding cultural influence of the anime genre.
