Bon Jovi Reveals 'Pain in the Butt' Role After Son Jake & Millie Bobby Brown's Baby Adoption!

The celebrity couple Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi recently expanded their family, not with a biological child, but through the heartwarming journey of adoption. About a month after the "Stranger Things" actress and "Rockbottom" actor publicly shared their news, rock icon Jon Bon Jovi, Jake's father, offered a glimpse into his new role as a grandfather. During an appearance on Bunnie xo’s "Dumb Blonde" podcast, he expressed his elation, describing the experience as "crazy, but great" and "wonderful."
Bon Jovi elaborated on the immediate bond formed with their new family member, stating, "They adopted a girl, and we met the baby, obviously, and immediately, that becomes your grandchild, you know what I mean? Your baby." He humorously added that he's already become "that pain-in-the-butt guy" who wants to see pictures "like every other day," reflecting the typical grandparent's eagerness and affection. His wife, Dorothea Hurley, shares in this joy.
Brown and Bongiovi had announced their new parenthood on August 21, sharing a joint statement: "This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption." They conveyed their immense excitement for this "beautiful next chapter of parenthood," emphasizing their desire for "peace and privacy," concluding with the sweet sentiment, "And then there were 3." This significant life event follows their marriage approximately a year prior, after three years of dating.
Despite Millie Bobby Brown being 21 and Jake Bongiovi 23, their decision to marry and start a family at a relatively young age has been met with full support from Jake’s father. Jon Bon Jovi told Bunnie xo, who is married to country star Jelly Roll, that he and Dorothea "blessed it because we get it." He noted their remarkable maturity for their age, explaining, "They’re sort of mature beyond their years. Her and Jake fell in love and we just thought, ‘OK, we’ll support this.’ It’s working out." He also praised the "Enola Holmes" star, calling her "a sweetheart" and commending her "unbelievable" work ethic, which he openly admires.
In other news related to Jon Bon Jovi, his band is preparing for the release of "Forever (Legendary Edition)," an enhanced version of their 2024 album. This revamped LP, slated for October 24, will feature exciting collaborations with artists such as Avril Lavigne, Bruce Springsteen, and James Bay. Notably, Jelly Roll also makes a cameo on the album, contributing vocals to the track "Living Proof."
