will release new album ‘Essex Honey’ on August 29th.

Earlier this year Charli xcx played Primavera Sound, and ended the set by shouting out some of her friends and collaborators, swapping ‘Brat’ summer for their names.

Amongst those, one particularly stood out: ‘Blood Orange Summer’.

As it happens, Charli is being proved correct – Blood Orange is back, and the English born, New York based songwriter is producing some of his best work.

New album ‘Essex Honey’ is , with the songwriter – real name Dev Hynes – assembling a matrix of collaborators. There are some big names listed here, including – singing on an album for the first time – , , and Liam Benzvi. 

Alongside this, Blood Orange has shared two new songs. ‘Mind Loaded’ features the wonderful Mustafa, Lorde – who Dev Hynes has written with in the past – and the instantly recognisable voice of Caroline Polachek,

‘Somewhere In Between’ meanwhile allows the light to shine purely on Blood Orange, and it’s a rich, refulgent indication of his creative prowess.
