Binance Shakes Up Market: 8 USDC Margin Pairs Face Delisting!
Binance has announced the delisting of several margin trading pairs from its Cross and Isolated Margin platforms, effective August 21, urging users to manage positions to avoid potential losses. Concurrently, the exchange will perform wallet maintenance for the BNB Smart Chain on August 20, temporarily suspending deposits and withdrawals but without affecting token trading.
Crypto exchange Binance has announced the delisting of several margin trading pairs from both its Cross Margin and Isolated Margin platforms. This strategic move aims to optimize trading offerings and ensure a streamlined user experience. A total of eight pairs are slated for removal from Cross Margin, with three of these also being delisted from Isolated Margin. The complete delisting process is scheduled for August 21.
The eight Cross Margin pairs affected by this decision include AUCTION/USDC, BEAMX/USDC, CETUS/USDC, HUMA/USDC, LAYER/USDC, NXPC/USDC, UMA/USDC, and VELODROME/USDC. Among these, HUMA/USDC, LAYER/USDC, and NXPC/USDC are the three pairs that will also be delisted from Isolated Margin. Binance Margin will officially delist these trading pairs on August 21 at 06:00 (UTC).
To prepare for the delisting, Binance has implemented immediate restrictions. Users are no longer able to transfer assets of the affected pairs into their Isolated Margin accounts, either manually or via Auto-Transfer Mode. Furthermore, Binance Margin will suspend isolated margin borrowing for the HUMA/USDC, LAYER/USDC, and NXPC/USDC pairs on August 18 at 06:00 (UTC).
On the delisting date, August 21 at 06:00 (UTC), Binance Margin will automatically close users' positions, conduct an automatic settlement, and cancel all pending orders for the listed cross and isolated margin pairs. Following these actions, the pairs will be completely removed from Binance Margin. Users are strongly advised to close their positions and/or transfer their assets from Margin Accounts to Spot Accounts prior to the cessation of Margin trading on August 21. This precautionary measure is recommended to avoid potential losses, especially given that users will be unable to update their positions during the delisting process, which is estimated to take approximately three hours.
In a separate announcement, Binance is also scheduled to perform wallet maintenance for the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20). This maintenance will take place on August 20 at 06:00 (UTC). To facilitate this, deposits and withdrawals on the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) will be temporarily suspended starting from August 20 at 05:55 (UTC). The suspension is expected to last for about one hour, and services will resume once the maintenance is successfully completed. It is important to note that despite the temporary suspension of deposits and withdrawals, the trading of tokens on the BNB Smart Chain network will not be impacted during the maintenance period.
