Billboard Awards to Crown Bad Bunny as 'Top Latin Artist of the 21st Century'!

Global superstar Bad Bunny is set to receive the prestigious Top Latin Artist of the 21st Century award at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards. This significant recognition, announced on Thursday (Oct. 9) by Billboard and Telemundo, acknowledges his extraordinary success and influence on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums and Hot Latin Songs charts over the first 25 years of the century. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place live on October 23rd at 8 p.m. ET from the James L. Knight Center in Miami and will be broadcast on Telemundo.
The multi-platinum Puerto Rican artist has consistently shattered records within Latin music on the Billboard charts and beyond. His last four albums — including "Debí Tirar Más Fotos" (2025), "Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana" (2023), "Un Verano Sin Ti" (2022), and "El Último Tour del Mundo" (2020) — have all achieved unprecedented No. 1 positions on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. This remarkable consistency underscores his dominant presence in the music industry.
Beyond his chart-topping achievements, Bad Bunny has solidified his status as a cultural icon, breaking barriers across various fields such as fashion, film, and music. His recent concert series at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico set new records for its magnitude and significant economic impact. His diverse endeavors include co-chairing the Met Gala, engaging in a groundbreaking Adidas partnership with soccer megastar Leo Messi, and starring in film projects alongside acclaimed directors and actors. Furthermore, he graces the cover of Billboard’s October Issue 14 and is slated to be the first Latin-American male solo artist to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February.
This honor will cap off Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami, which features exclusive performances, conversations, and industry events from October 20th to 24th. Fans interested in attending can purchase tickets to the awards. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be available for streaming on the Telemundo App, Peacock, and Telemundo Internacional.
