On May 14, 2025, he took the stage at The Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C., delivering a powerful and energetic performance that left fans in awe.
During his set, Bien captivated the audience with his signature soulful vocals and electrifying stage presence.
However, it was a particular moment in the concert that sparked widespread attention as Bien led the crowd in chanting 'Ruto must go'.
The said phrase has gained traction among critics of President William Ruto, who believe he has failed to deliver on his promises.
Fans at the venue cheered him on, waving Kenyan flags and singing along to his hit songs while also recording the performance on their phones.
The atmosphere was charged with emotion, as Bien seamlessly blended music with activism, using his platform to express concerns about governance in Kenya.
His performance at The Howard Theatre was part of a larger tour that included stops in Boston, New York, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Dallas, and Seattle.
While Bien has not officially commented on the political significance of the chants, his engagement with the audience demonstrated the power of music in amplifying social and political discourse.
Videos from the event went viral on social media, with his Kenyan fans getting a chance to react to what they saw.

In another story of protest against the leadership, TUKO.co.ke earlier reported about Rigathi Gachagua's recent words during a rally that have been turned into songs.
While passing through Githurai, Gachagua decided to address residents of the area and created a chant after mentioning 'One term' several times, to mean how Ruto will become Kenya's first one term president.
The phrase trended on social media and was turned into a sound bite, with Kenyans using changing it to Wantam and using it as a soundbite to several songs that have been trending online.
