Benue Assembly Rocked by Impeachment Plot: Lawmakers Suspended Amidst Speaker Controversy

The Benue state house of assembly has taken decisive action by suspending four of its members for a period of six months. The suspension stems from allegations that these lawmakers were involved in a plot to impeach the current Speaker, Aondona Dajoh. The suspended members have been identified as Alfred Berger, who represents Makurdi north constituency; Terna Shimawua from Kian constituency; Cyril Ekong, representing Obi constituency; and James Umoru, representing the Apa constituency. This significant development was reported following a plenary session on Friday where the resolution was reached.
