Guy Moon, the acclaimed composer behind some of Nickelodeon’s most memorable animated series, passed away on Thursday at the age of 63 following a tragic traffic collision. His family shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, expressing profound grief while celebrating his life and emphasizing the enduring impact he had as a father, mentor, and creative force.

Moon’s extensive career included composing for beloved shows such as The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom, where his musical scores became integral to the shows’ identities. His work also spanned other popular Nickelodeon series including ChalkZone, Tak & the Power of Juju, Back at the Barnyard, Big Time Rush, and T.U.F.F Puppy, cementing his status as a versatile and influential composer in children’s animation.

Recognized for his talent, Moon earned multiple Emmy nominations for Outstanding Music and Lyrics in 2002, 2003, and 2004 for The Fairly OddParents.
