Behold the Beast: Lamborghini Fenomeno Shatters Performance Records!

Lamborghini has unveiled its latest 'few-off' V12 supercar, the Fenomeno, a bespoke creation for its most devoted collectors. Named after a brave and relentless Mexican fighting bull, the Fenomeno is heralded as the fastest and most powerful Lamborghini road car ever produced. It boasts an astounding 1,065bhp, propelling it from 0-62mph in a mere 2.4 seconds when equipped with optional sticky track-day tires, decisively earning it bragging rights over the 1,001bhp Revuelto, on which it is based.
The powertrain is a sophisticated hybrid system. While an upgraded 6.5-litre V12 engine contributes a modest 10bhp to the power increase—engineers acknowledge the difficulty in finding further gains in an engine already revving to 9,500rpm while adhering to global emissions standards—it is the electric component that performs significant heavy lifting. Three electric motors collectively generate 242bhp, which is 50bhp more than the Revuelto’s hybrid system. This enhanced electric power is unlocked by a new 7kWh battery, which, despite being the same physical size and only slightly heavier than the Revuelto’s cells, offers double the capacity, providing more power in reserve and a higher output ceiling for the motors.
To prevent the limited-run Fenomeno from being heavier than its base car due to the larger battery, Lamborghini engineers discarded the standard Revuelto bodywork. Instead, drawing inspiration from the 2010 V10 Sesto Elemento, they crafted the entire body from carbon fiber. This meticulous lightweight construction ensures the Fenomeno matches the Revuelto’s 1,770kg dry weight, granting it the best power-to-weight ratio of any Lamborghini to date. Its performance credentials include a top speed exceeding 217mph and a 0-124mph sprint completed in just 6.7 seconds, particularly with the smaller-sized rims fitted with Bridgestone’s stickiest rubber. As standard, it features 21/22-inch Reventon-inspired rims with centrelock hubs.
Visually, the Fenomeno is dramatically re-styled, with only the Revuelto’s glass carried over. The car is noticeably wider and lengthier, with a distinctive longtail tapering at the rear. Upfront, an S-duct effectively generates downforce by channeling air through the bonnet. The active rear wing at the back offers three positions, contributing to 30 percent more downforce than a Revuelto. All Countach-inspired intakes, ducts, and vents are fully functional, addressing cooling challenges posed by the upgraded battery, while a roof scoop and fully exposed engine bay ensure the V12 receives ample fresh air. Menacing hooded headlights replace the Revuelto’s spidery LED running lights, and vertical taillights are an unusual, yet striking, feature. The mega-exposed rear tire is becoming a company trademark, complemented by a colossal exhaust outlet.
Inside, the Fenomeno largely resembles the standard Revuelto, but new carbon door cards underscore its lightweight ethos. Designers describe the dashboard as having a more ‘alien’ appearance. Two significant technological advancements debut on the Fenomeno: it is the first street-legal Lamborghini to feature CCM-R brakes, which are next-generation carbon-ceramic discs offering superior longevity and friction. Furthermore, Lamborghini has opted for manually adjustable suspension, discarding the Revuelto’s adaptive dampers. This decision not only saves weight but also signifies a commitment to a simpler, more old-school driving experience, allowing owners to fine-tune the setup for track use or personalized on-road settings, although it’s noted that 'few-off' owners typically drive their ultra-rare Lamborghinis less than 1,000 miles per year. With only 30 units being built—29 for sale and one retained for the factory museum—the Fenomeno is an exclusive, multi-million-dollar machine, designed primarily to deliver a phenomenal sound and spectacular visual presence, cementing its status as another iconic bedroom poster car.
