Beatles Biopic Reveals Star-Studded Cast for Fab Four's Wives!

The highly anticipated four-part cinematic event centered on The Beatles has unveiled the actresses set to portray the iconic wives of the Fab Four, completing a star-studded cast. This ambitious project, titled 'The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event', has confirmed a lineup of acclaimed talent for these pivotal roles, joining the previously announced actors for the band members themselves.
Saoirse Ronan has been cast as Paul McCartney’s wife, Linda McCartney, while Anna Sawai of 'Shogun' fame will portray John Lennon’s wife, Yoko Ono. George Harrison’s wife, Pattie Boyd, will be played by Aimee Lou Wood from 'The White Lotus', and Mia McKenna-Bruce of 'How to Have Sex' will take on the role of Ringo Starr’s wife, Maureen Starkey. These actresses will appear alongside Paul Mescal as McCartney, Harris Dickinson as Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Starr, and Joseph Quinn as Harrison.
Director Sam Mendes expressed his enthusiasm for the casting, stating, “Maureen, Linda, Yoko and Pattie are four fascinating and unique figures in their own right – and I’m thrilled that we’ve managed to persuade four of the most talented women working in film today to join this amazing adventure.” His remarks underscore the importance of these characters in telling the comprehensive story of the band.
The unique cinematic undertaking is scheduled to commence its theatrical release in April 2028. Sam Mendes will direct four distinct films, each offering the perspective of one of the bandmates. These individual narratives are designed to intertwine and ultimately converge, providing a holistic and complete account of The Beatles' storied history, according to official press releases.
Adding to the project's historical significance, this marks the first instance that The Beatles and Apple Corps Ltd. have granted authorization for the use of the band members’ life stories and their iconic music in scripted feature films. Sony Pictures is actively involved as both the financier and the global distributor for these landmark productions, ensuring a wide reach for this unparalleled cinematic exploration of one of the most influential bands in history.
